My First Spanish Wedding

I had so much fun this weekend Capturing the Moments of my friend Gina's Wedding. the guests were from Equador and Cuba. I thought it was interesting that after the bride walked down the aisle with her father and was met at the alter by her mother and simbolically given to her husband the song that was played was the American National Anthem. followed by the Anthems of each country. The service, very little of which I understood was full of symbols and traditions with which I am not familiar and can't wait to ask Gina about.

The minister talked about a shall he had drapped around his shoulders and then took off and placed aver Gina and Gerardo's heads. Unity candels were lit, rings exchanged, communion served and parents and children came forward and said private blessings to the bride and groom.

It was a very happy service full of love and laughter and one I will always remember.

On a different note I met Hilda, Gina's daughter who did her makeup and is available for other weddings if you are looking for a makeup artist who can do lots of different styles let me know and I will be glad to give you her contact information.
